ILLIE is a 6 member live hip hop band composed of bass, guitar, keys, drums & two rappers. ILLIE has been together for 3 years, and although still young, with ages ranging from 18 to 21, ILLIE has come to develop a unique style of music. By taking with major elements of everyday Rap music, ILLIE manipulates the norm by adding melodic guitar riffs combined with the synergism of piano chords, and smooth baselines.
ILLIE recently finished a mixtape titled "Deja Vu", in which the band, took well known instrumentals from multiple rap artist and recreated them using their instruments. After taking a huge step into building their own studio and website (www.theillielife.com), the band now produce, record, and mix, their own tracks like "Lights Out" and "D.G.A.F.". They have a steady growing fanbase of 2000+ and continue to perform heavy in the Los Angeles and surrounding areas at notable venues like The Key Club, Whiskey a-go-go, The Social Club, etc. Also opening for acts like The Dean's List and the legendary Wu Tang Clan at The Grove of Anaheim; their biggest show to date.
ILLIE is currently working on an EP and filming their first music video.
